Harnessing the Power of "Brand Denmark"
The U.S. News & World Report "Best Countries Rankings" ranks Denmark as the #10 country brand in the world. What is it about Denmark that makes it such a powerful brand, and how can Danish companies use that to help their own brands as a marketing tool in the U.S.?
Anna Blender, a Senior Vice President at brand strategy firm BAV Consulting heads up the Nation Branding practice at BAV and helped develop the Best Countries Rankings in partnership with US News and Wharton Business School. In this session, Anna will unpack the elements of “Brand Denmark” that make it so appealing – and will also discuss some of the weaknesses that might be holding it back. She’ll present examples of brand that have successfully used their “country of origin” mark to improve their status, and others that have been hurt just the same way. At the end of the presentation, the attendees will participate in a short “brand-building workshop” that will provide them with the tools to implement the learnings in everyday marketing and business.
